What is Threat Landscaper?

Threat Landscaper is a threat analysis solution that works in conjunction with Google Threat Intelligence. Threat Landscaper enable defenders and law enforcement research teams, as well as private organizations, to improve their threat analysis performance by continuously tracking the activities of various threat actors, such as malware prevalent in Japan, commonly used vulnerabilities, TTPs, state-attributed actors, and cybercrime groups such as ransomware groups.

Features

Threat Landscaper consists of two functions: JP Tracker and Actor Tracker.

JP Tracker

By analyzing the statistical data of files submitted from Japan to Google Threat Intelligence, it is possible to visualize the breakdown of file formats, popular malware families, commonly used vulnerabilities, TTPs, etc., and to understand the current threat trends in Japan. With JP Tracker, you can observe the following indicators based on files submitted to Google Threat Intelligence.

• Statistics on the format of submitted files
• Statistics on detection categories and names
• Statistics on Sigma, Yara, and IDS detection information
• Statistics of vulnerability details

Actor Tracker

Actor Tracker is a feature that allows you to track and continuously analyze the movements of specified actors, such as APT groups in Central and Northern Russia and ransomware groups around the world.

Actor Tracker allows you to observe the following indicators based on files submitted to Google Threat Intelligence.

• Activity by threat actor
• Trends in malware used by threat actors
• Countries targeted by threat actors
