A Cyber Defense Institute Employee Has Been Selected as a Key Contributor of the Trusted Computing Group.

Toru Tomita, Head of Technical Division, has been selected as a Key Contributor for 2023 by the TCG (Trusted Computing Group)*.

This award is presented to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to TCG activities. Tomita was recognized for two areas of significant contribution: first, in the field of supply chain security, he worked alongside other members to ensure that TCG platform certificates -- a technology critical to supply chain security -- are compatible with OpenSSL; second, he has actively participated in workshops hosted by the TCG Japan Regional Forum (JRF), consistently delivering technical presentations on the practical applications and benefits of TCG technologies such as TPM, thereby promoting broader understanding and adoption of these technologies.

Tomita is currently engaged in research on supply chain security, remote attestation, and hardware-based security, and also delivers presentations at security events held domestically. We encourage anyone interested to attend one of his talks.
